Section 3A. Reservation of training places for the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes in designated trades

(1) In every designated trade, the employer must reserve training places for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes; where an establishment has more than one designated trade, reservation is also based on the total number of apprentices across all designated trades in that establishment.

Explanation: “Scheduled Castes” and “Scheduled Tribes” carry the meanings in Article 366(24) and (25) of the Constitution.
