101. Power to search suspected persons in certain other cases

An officer of customs empowered by general or special order of the Principal Commissioner/Commissioner of Customs may search any person, if he has reason to believe that the person has secreted about his person goods of the following kinds, liable to confiscation: gold; diamonds; manufactures of gold or diamonds; watches; and any other class of goods the Central Government may, by notification, specify.
