109A. Power to undertake controlled delivery

The proper officer or an authorised officer may undertake controlled delivery of any consignment of goods to: (a) any destination in India; (b) a foreign country, in consultation with the competent authority of that country, in the prescribed manner, for the purpose of identifying persons involved in the commission of an offence under this Act. Explanation: “controlled delivery” means the technique of allowing consignments of goods involved in the commission of an offence to pass out of, into, or through India, with the knowledge and under the supervision of a proper officer, to identify persons involved in such offence.
