Note: One Member is appointed by rotation every three years, one each in seriatim from these five Zones, to represent the States and Union territories on the Food Authority under section 5(1)(e). State and Union territory names, and the Zone V list, reflect the text as originally enacted; several have since been renamed or reorganised (e.g. Orissa is now Odisha, Uttaranchal is now Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir’s status has changed following the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019).
