Section 100. Amendments to the Infant Milk Substitutes, Feeding Bottles and Infant Foods (Regulation of Production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 1992
From the notified day, the Infant Milk Substitutes, Feeding Bottles and Infant Foods (Regulation of Production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 1992 applies subject to consequential amendments: references throughout that Act to the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954 are substituted with references to this Act; references in section 12 to a Food Inspector appointed under section 9 of the 1954 Act are substituted with references to a Food Safety Officer appointed under this Act; the expression “Food Inspector” is replaced throughout with “the Food Safety Officer”; and in section 21(1)(a) of the 1992 Act, the reference is substituted with a reference to the Designated Officer or the Food Safety Officer directed under section 42(5) of this Act.
