Section 11. Central Advisory Committee
The Food Authority establishes, by notification, a Central Advisory Committee comprising two representatives each of the food industry, agriculture, consumers, relevant research bodies and food laboratories, all Commissioners of Food Safety, and the Chairperson of the Scientific Committee as an ex officio member. Representatives of the concerned Central Government Ministries/Departments and government-recognised farmers’ organisations are invitees.
The Chief Executive Officer is the ex officio Chairperson of the Committee, which follows procedural rules specified by regulations.
