Section 12. Functions of Central Advisory Committee

The Central Advisory Committee ensures close cooperation between the Food Authority and enforcement agencies and organisations in the field of food, and advises the Food Authority on performing its duties, drawing up the work programme, prioritising work, identifying potential risks, pooling knowledge, and other specified functions.

It meets regularly at the invitation of its Chairperson or at the request of at least one-third of its members, and no less than three times a year.
