Section 15. Procedure for Scientific Committee and Scientific Panel
Members are appointed by the Food Authority for a renewable three-year term, following a published call for expressions of interest. Each body chooses its own Chairperson from among its members and acts by majority, with members’ views recorded.
Regulations govern operational matters such as the limit on consecutive terms, Panel size, expense reimbursement, task and opinion-request assignment, working-group formation (including external experts), observers, public hearings, and quorum, notice and agenda requirements.
