Section 37. Food Safety Officer
The Commissioner of Food Safety shall, by notification, appoint suitably qualified persons as Food Safety Officers for local areas assigned to them to perform functions under the Act and the rules and regulations made thereunder. The State Government may also authorise any suitably qualified State Government officer to perform the functions of a Food Safety Officer within a specified jurisdiction.
