Section 55. Penalty for failure to comply with the directions of Food Safety Officer
A food business operator or importer who, without reasonable ground, fails to comply with the requirements of the Act, rules, regulations or orders as directed by a Food Safety Officer, is liable to a penalty of up to two lakh rupees.
