Section 62. Punishment for obstructing or impersonating a Food Safety Officer
If a person, without reasonable excuse, resists, obstructs, or attempts to obstruct, impersonate, threaten, intimidate or assault a Food Safety Officer in exercising his functions under this Act, he is punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months and also with fine which may extend to one lakh rupees.
