Section 76. Appeal

A person aggrieved by a decision or order of a Special Court may, on payment of the fee prescribed by the Central Government and after depositing any amount imposed by way of penalty, compensation or damage, prefer an appeal to the High Court within forty-five days of the order being served. The High Court may entertain an appeal after this period if satisfied that the appellant was prevented by sufficient cause from filing within time.

An appeal under this section shall be disposed of by a bench of not less than two judges of the High Court.
