Section 85. Power of Central Government to issue directions to Food Authority and obtain reports and returns
The Food Authority, in exercising its powers and performing its functions, is bound by directions on questions of policy — other than technical and administrative matters — that the Central Government may give in writing from time to time, though the Food Authority shall, as far as practicable, be given an opportunity to express its views before any such direction is given.
If a dispute arises as to whether a question is one of policy, the decision of the Central Government is final.
The Food Authority shall furnish such returns or other information about its activities as the Central Government may from time to time require.
