Section 8. Registration to be in respect of particular goods and area
A geographical indication may be registered for any or all goods within a class of goods classified by the Registrar, and in respect of a definite territory, region, or locality. The Registrar classifies goods broadly in line with the International Classification used for geographical indication registration purposes, and may publish an alphabetical index of that classification.
Any dispute about which class particular goods fall into, the definite area of registration, or goods not covered by the published index, is decided by the Registrar, whose decision is final.
