118. Contravention of Secrecy provisions relating to certain inventions
Failure to comply with a direction under section 35, or making/causing to be made an application for a patent abroad in contravention of section 39, is punishable with imprisonment up to two years, or fine, or both.
Proviso: For contravention of section 39, if the Central Government is of the opinion the invention was not relevant to defence or atomic energy at the time of contravention, this section does not apply.
