124. Offences by companies
(1) Where an offence is committed by a company, the company and every person in charge of and responsible for its business at the time are deemed guilty and liable, unless they prove the offence was committed without their knowledge or that they exercised all due diligence to prevent it.
(2) Where the offence is proved to have been committed with the consent, connivance, or neglect of a director, manager, secretary or other officer, that person is also deemed guilty and liable.
Explanation: “Company” means any body corporate, including a firm or association of individuals; “director” in relation to a firm means a partner.
