Section 141 – Patents Act, 1970

141. Determination of certain contracts

(1) A contract for sale/lease of a patented article, or licence to manufacture/use/work a patented article or process, may be terminated by the purchaser/lessee/licensee on three months’ written notice, at any time after all the relevant patents have ceased to be in force, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the contract.

(2) This is without prejudice to any other right of determination exercisable apart from this section.
