147. Evidence of entries, documents, etc.
(1) A certificate purporting to be signed by the Controller as to any register entry or matter he is authorised to make/do is prima facie evidence of that entry, its contents, and the matter having been done.
(2) A certified, sealed copy of any register entry, patent office document, or patent, or an extract, is admissible in evidence in all courts and proceedings without further proof or production of the original.
(3) The Controller or another patent office officer, in proceedings to which he is not a party, cannot be compelled to produce the register or other documents in his custody (their contents being provable by certified copy) or appear as a witness, except by special court order.
