Section 20. Special provision for enrolment of certain Supreme Court advocates
(1) Every advocate entitled as of right to practise in the Supreme Court immediately before the appointed day, whose name is not entered in any State roll, may within the prescribed time express his intention to the Bar Council of India for entry in a State Bar Council’s roll; the Bar Council of India shall direct entry without fee, and the State Bar Council concerned shall comply.
(2) Any such entry is made in order of seniority determined under section 17(3).
(3) Where such an advocate omits or fails to express his intention in time, his name is entered in the roll of the State Bar Council of Delhi.
