Section 58AB. Special provisions with respect to certain persons enrolled by Mysore State Bar Council
Notwithstanding anything in this Act or any judgment/order/resolution/direction, every person admitted as an advocate on the Mysore State roll between 28 February 1963 and 31 March 1964 on the basis of a pleadership certificate from the Mysore High Court is deemed validly admitted and entitled to practise law.
Proviso: If such a person later elects enrolment on another State Bar Council’s roll, his name is deemed struck off the Mysore roll from the date of the new enrolment.
Further proviso: For seniority purposes under section 17(3)(d), such a person’s date of admission is reckoned as 16 May 1964.
